About Galaxie 500:

Galaxie 500 was a trio: Damon Krukowski, Naomi Yang, and Dean Wareham. The band was formed in Boston in 1987, and broke up in 1991.

While the band was active, it released three albums on Rough Trade Records: Today (1988), On Fire (1989), and This Is Our Music (1990). These three albums have now been reissued on vinyl by 20/20/20, and are available via high-quality download at the official Galaxie 500 online store, fierybreeze.com.

Since the band's demise, a number of archival recordings have also been released, including a collection of outakes and rarities, Uncollected Galaxie 500; a live album, Copenhagen; a best-of compilation, The Portable Galaxie 500; a two-DVD set of videos and live footage, Don't Let Our Youth Go To Waste; and the band's Peel Sessions recorded for the BBC. All but the Peel Sessions are currrently out of print, but watch this space for news of their reissue.
